        Josiah is a landscape architect with a multi-decade track record of academic, project, and leadership success across the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. He has built and led successful landscape architecture, construction, and civil engineering enterprises with a focus on site and landscape systems, infrastructure, and urban design.

        A recognized leader in regenerative and sustainable design, Josiah was a founding faculty member of Sonoma State University’s Sustainable Landscape Professional Certificate Program and served as Director of the University of California, Berkeley’s Sustainable Design Certificate Program. His expertise spans sustainability, regenerative design, resilience, and climate adaptation across landscape architecture, urban design, and engineering, informed by experience as an executive, principal, and engineering leader.

        From 2012 to 2022, Josiah led water and civil planning for Google’s campus master plans, including Moffett Park, North Bayshore, and San Jose, and served as Principal for the Bay View and Canopy campuses, along with several other built projects. He has also served as Principal for campus projects with Apple and Microsoft, as well as higher education planning initiatives for institutions including the University of California, Berkeley; UC Merced; Rice University; Duke University; and UCLA.

        Throughout his 25+ year career, Josiah has established a reputation for leading innovative, high-impact projects at the intersection of landscape architecture, infrastructure, and regenerative design. His portfolio includes landmark projects such as the California Academy of Sciences Living Roof, Salesforce Park, and Van Cortlandt Park. Recognized as one of California’s leading water innovators, his work has been featured in Sunset Magazine, Water Infrastructure Journal, and The New York Times.
