New strategic partnership offers comprehensive regenerative design to the green building community.

Ecological consulting firm Biohabitats Inc. has formed a collaborative, strategic partnership with internationally known regenerative architecture, planning, and product design firm, McLennan Design. Aligned in values of environmental and social responsibility, and offering complementary services, the firms will collaborate on planning and design projects throughout North America and beyond.

McLennan Design was founded by designer, author, and green building pioneer, Jason F. McLennan. McLennan is known for his groundbreaking work in creating the Living Building Challenge, the most rigorous and progressive standard for sustainability in the built environment. McLennan Design, which is based on Bainbridge Island, WA, focuses exclusively on the planning and design of deep green projects with goals of net-zero energy and/or water, and projects aimed at regenerating the environment and economy.

“By transforming architecture and planning into forces for ecological and social good, Jason McLennan has dramatically broadened the definition of green building,” said Biohabitats’ president and founder, Keith Bowers. “Partnering with McLennan Design enables us to provide a more comprehensive array of services to help our clients enhance the resilience of their communities.”
