Josh Fisher is a designer, visual storyteller, and advocate for regenerative architecture with over a decade of experience creating spaces that support ecological resilience, community well-being, and meaningful design outcomes. As McLennan Design’s first employee, he has worked closely with founder Jason F. McLennan to help shape the firm’s vision and deliver transformative projects around the world.

As an Associate and Director of Visualization, Josh brings creative media talent and artistic sensibility to a wide range of work—from deep green residential homes and regenerative hospitality master plans to Living Building and Living Community Challenge campuses. His visualizations help clients imagine thriving futures for both people and place, blending clarity, emotion, and technical precision.

His portfolio includes HMTX HQ, ASHRAE HQ, LEAP Masterplan, Virginia’s first public Living Building, Washington’s LBC-certified Heron Hall, and Minnesota’s first Living Building university project at Winona State, with additional experience across North America, Latin America, Asia, and Australia.

Josh is also a public artist and muralist, with commissioned works for the State of Washington ArtsWA Program, Sound Transit, the University of Washington, the City of Friday Harbor, and the City of Bremerton. He lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife and four young boys and is an active community advocate for parks, public art, and inclusive public space.

“The relentless, gradual destruction of settings of natural beauty is taking place throughout our land. Money, greed, insensitiveness, disregard of values, and public apathy create a condition that allows mediocrity and ignorance to wreck the best of American heritage and culture.”
