John is a building performance analyst who is passionate about creatively using energy modeling as a tool to help solve complex building energy and carbon problems. He believes that when synergies between architecture and systems can be harnessed, low energy projects can be delivered frugally. John has conducted extensive research on thermal mass and passive cooling, and has contributed to the academic body of knowledge on these topics. He brings 18 years of industry experience serving various market types including higher education, laboratories, civic and federal buildings, datacenter, mixed-use, and offices. John has a bachelor of science in Construction Management and two master’s degrees in engineering. This unique combination aids in John’s focus on creatively tailoring unique, economical, and pragmatic solutions to achieving energy performance.
